I LOVED this article on homeschooling at Salon.com. Written from by a homeschooling dad of 5-year old twins, it covered his responses (and thoughts left unsaid) to some of the many questions that homeschooling families face every day from family, friends, and strangers alike.

He also links to this list of 25 responses to similar questions, that I have long admired and have been meaning to share.

I think most women can see the value of having a birth plan. Whether birthing at home, in a birth center, or in a hospital, creating a birth plan can give you and your partner the chance to think about your choices and decide what is essential and what you can let go of. Many women take lots of time to research their options and create birth plans based on facts and sound reasoning. If done right they are full of informed choices designed to create the safest and healthiest birthing environment possible.

As I was struggling to catch up on the astounding number of wonderful (interesting! fascinating! and funny!) blog posts in my feed reader today, one in particular caught my eye and then stole more of my time today as I chased down the links in it. The L&D nurse/writer at the blog NursingBirth posted a followup to a post she had previously written. She was responding to a comment left by a formula feeding mother.
