Back Carries and Ring Slings

I love my ring sling. It is so versatile and can do almost anything I want it to (not just carrying babies but lots of other tasks too!). But one of the very few complaints I have is that it is difficult to do a comfortable and safe back carry. I usually sling my little one on my hip and then slide them around to my back. That works for a few minutes but starts getting uncomforatble quickly and it is difficult to tighten to keep a wriggly toddler in. Also my shirt ends up twisted all the way around. Here's another way.

Babywearing in a crisis situation - like a zombie apocalypse

This informative and humorous little blog post comes to us from an Australian babywearing group:

It’s Time to Get Serious: Zombies

I have to say, there's good advice in there for getting through all kinds of disastrous situations!

Vegaroos

Have you ever wanted or needed to hold your baby to give comfort but needed your hands free? Try wearing your baby! It’s a great solution for many families.

Babies need physical contact just as they need food, air, warmth, and shelter. Babywearing helps parents and other caregivers give babies all the closeness they need while still having hands free for other tasks. Vegaroo’s mission is to promote the art and science of babywearing.
